Booking an event venue in Zurich: how Dreilokale works
Corporate event, apéro, wedding or birthday: if you’re looking for a venue, one request on Dreilokale is all it takes. Here’s how it works.

I’m looking for a venue for our event in Zurich. How do I find the right one quickly?
With one single request instead of dozens of emails. That’s exactly what Dreilokale is for.
First things first. I recently met Charbel, co-founder of Dreilokale. We quickly realised that we often deal with the same people: people planning an event. Dreilokale then wrote an article about DJs for corporate events. Here, I’d like to share how Dreilokale works.
What is Dreilokale?
Dreilokale is a Swiss platform that connects organisers with event venues. Organisers can also be private individuals who want to book a venue for an apéro. Instead of contacting every venue one by one, you describe your event once, and suitable venues get back to you.
For which events?
For almost anything that needs the right space: corporate events and Christmas parties, team events, client events with an apéro, seminars, weddings or a milestone birthday.
How a request works. On dreilokale.ch you start a request and describe your event: date, number of guests and type of event, for example “apéro for 60 people” or “Christmas party with dinner”. According to Dreilokale, suitable venues in Zurich respond within 24 hours with an offer. You compare the offers and book the venue that fits.
What does it cost?
For you as an organiser, the request is free and non-binding, according to Dreilokale. The price for the venue is in the offer. Dreilokale explains typical event venue prices in Zurich in a separate post on its blog.
How early should you ask?
Good venues are often booked out well in advance. Dreilokale recommends asking three to four months ahead. For December dates, it’s especially worth being early.
Tip: put everything in your request. The more detailed your request, the better the offers will fit. Mention, for example, whether there will be food, whether you need equipment for a presentation or whether music is planned.
And if you want music?
Not every event needs a DJ. For a seminar or a quiet apéro, a low-volume playlist is often enough. But if people should dance, a DJ is worth it. Then add “with DJ” to your request so the venue plans space for the DJ booth and power. You should also book the DJ early, at least 2–3 months before the event or even earlier. I play at corporate events and private parties, in Zurich, across Switzerland and worldwide.
Transparency note. Dreilokale and I link to each other’s websites.
